Director, Research & Development / 2009 - 2013

New Heart Medical started out as a dream to produce an efficient and affordable artificial heart. I started this company with my father, combing his medical background with my design, engineering, and manufacturing capabilities.

As the Director, Research & Development, I was responsible for all the engineering, design, and prototyping of the artificial heart system. Prototyping consisted of 3D printing and in-house CNC machined parts. I sourced medical grade materials and also constructed a clean room for product assembly.
